Fishing in Taupo is owned and operated by Rob McEwen, who also owns and operates Fishing in New Zealand (www.fishinginnewzealand.com) and Tauhara Sunrise Lodge (www.tauharasunrise.com), a 5-star boutique lodge in Acacia Bay.

Rob is passionate about fishing. His love of the Taupo region and all it has to offer dates back to the 1950s, when as a little boy, Rob’s family spent their Christmas holidays at the lake.

Rob’s career was in advertising and marketing, and since moving to Taupo to live in 2002, Rob has combined his professional skills with his passion for fishing to help boost awareness of the many great experiences the region and its guides and operators are able to deliver.
